This was such an exciting contest to host as our region stretched across 9 states and had so many talented artists!We would like to congratulate Nancy D, Jaden L, and Damian L, on winning the regional art contest. Congratulations to Nancy for winning the most competitive category which included ages 18 and older and stretched across 9 states. Her photo of the waterfall inside the caverns is a beautiful art piece. Her composition, lighting, and coloring showcased the natural beauty of the caverns and made her artwork stand out. Congratulations to Jaden for winning the 9 - 13 year old category. Her drawing displayed the immense size our caverns is and also had beautiful touches including pathway lighting and our friendly and rarely seen caverns bats.Congratulations to Damian for winning the 8 years old and younger category. His artistic use of arches to create a caverns scape was so enjoyable and creative.

Jaden described her artwork this way: “I put bats and lights, the lights are many colors, a walkway. I took a lot of time to draw it. I put dark on top for top and bottom for walk way.”.

Damian described his artwork this way: “I put lights and rocks, lots of rocks and stones. It is a cave shape. I put a bunch of rock on top of the cave, it shows some sky.
