What our Past Campers say

Testimonials

My family and I have been all across the country in our RV and have stayed in so many places and this one beats them all! It was relaxing and set in nature, but we still had plenty of fun things to see and do within walking distance! Experiencing the park is a must! We’ve never been anywhere like it! We also went to some of the nearby spots they recommended and had a blast! We made our favorite memories here and cannot wait to come back!

Campground FAQ

Do you have a campground map?

Is there a cancelation fee?

There is no charge to your card that is put on file at the time of reservation unless you cancel within 24 hours of your check-in time, or do not notify us of your reservation change. The non-refundable charge is a one night stay.

Do you have full hookup?

Yes, we have electricity (30 or 50 amp sites), sewer and water connections.

Do you have long term camping available?

At times we have availability for longer stays and would love to host you. Our weekly rate is the longest stay rate available.

Where do we check in when we arrive?

Guest registration is inside the park in large building near the flags and splash pad. Any Retail Host can assist you, either ticketing or at the Cave Cafe in the gift shop.

Is there a gate code for after hours arrivals?

You are welcome to arrive after the park closes. We do not have a gate to the campground area so that late arrivals/early departures are easily facilitated.

If we arrive after close, when can we pay?

You can pay the next day or by phone with us.

Can I change to a different site than the one I booked after arrival?

It may seem that others are available, yet other guest may have a late arrival or arriving during your stay for the site you would like to move into. It is important that you only move if you are rebooked by a Retail Host in the gift shop.

Can I stay longer than my reservation?

We would love to have you stay longer if it’s available. It is crucial that you check with a Retail Host in the gift shop/Cave Cafe before staying additional nights as your site location may need to change or we could have no vacancies.

How far away are the bathrooms from the campsites?

Our shower and restrooms are in a building in the campground, centrally located for our RV guests. For our primitive campsites guests our showers are a 500 foot walk and we have closer located bathrooms that are approximately a 400 foot walk.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the park as long as they remain on a leash. Inside the cave we only allow pets if you are capable of holding them throughout the tour. People who bring their pets are responsible for cleaning up their pet’s waste. People with pets also will be held responsible for any damage their pet creates. Because of the indoor-outdoors nature of a cave, we cannot have any animals using the restroom inside the caverns, so they must be small enough to be held through the entirety of the tour.

Is there a laundry on site?

Yes, there is laundry on-site and there is a laundromat in Childersburg, less than five minutes down the road as well.

Do you have firewood for purchase?

We do not have wood available to purchase so it would be best if you bring it with you.

Can we build a fire?

You can build a camp fire at your site.

Are there grills or fire pits at each campsite?

We do not provide grills or fire pits for your fire.

Do we get discounts for staying in the campground?

Yes, we offer discount tickets that you can purchase and add on when purchasing your campground tickets online.

Is the campground within walking distance of the attractions?

The attractions are in an area of the park that adjoins the campground, with a 1-2 minute walk (approximately 50 yards).

How can I primitive tent camp?

There are couple ways you can tent camp at Majestic Caverns:

  • You can reserve an RV site, and include up to two tents in the larger sites.
  • You can also try primitive camping on a grassy knoll in the park. In this area there is no electricity, and outside of the campground. It is a reduced rate from an RV space.
