TALLADEGA SPEEDWAY

Talladega Speedway hosts the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series twice a year along with the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The track stays busy year around with multiple driving schools where you can be in the driver’s seat with the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure and others.

Be sure to check out the International Motorsports Hall of Fame located on track property. Open 7 days a week, there are plenty of exhibits to see. Be sure to include a tour of Talladega Superspeedway in your visit.

SELWOOD FARM

From the moment guests arrive at Selwood, one thing is obvious–Selwood’s passion for shooting and outdoor lifestyle. We are proud of our southern heritage, circa 1834.  There is nothing more rejuvenating to the soul than experiencing a guided hunt on one of our carefully managed fields.  The Hill family is proud that the upcoming season marks our 31st year of business.

MORGAN CREEK WINERY

This lush land has a beautiful history as a family owned and run winery. “Morgan Creek has created its own niche. ‘We specialize in muscadine and fruit wines—semi-sweet to sweetish wines—and nobody has really done those commercially,’ Brammer explains. If you are interested in delicious tastes of muscadine and fruit wines, Morgan Creek Winery is a nearby must!

TALLADEGA NATIONAL FOREST

This beautiful National Forest is just down the road from our location and is a must for those who enjoy the great outdoors! The Talladega National Forest is located in the U.S. state of Alabama and covers 392,567 acres (613.39 sq mi) at the southern edge of the Appalachian Mountains. There are multiple hiking entrances to this gorgeous area of Alabama for those interested in some beautiful hikes!

BLUE BELL CREAMERY

If you’ve never seen ice cream being made, make sure to visit the Blue Bell Creamery in Sylacauga, Alabama. At this location, they offer an Ice Cream Parlor, an area where you can watch their ice cream being made and they have a Country Store.

THE BUTLER HARRIS RAINWATER MUSEUM

The Butler Harris Rainwater Museum is a Victorian home perched on a hill, overlooking our city. It was purchased by the city of Childersburg in 1993 and has been restored and furnished to reflect its Victorian history. Artifacts of local historical significance are on display, as well. The house is open to the public free of charge by appointment only.

CHILDERSBURG GRIST MILL & COVERED BRIDGE

Only a few miles down the road and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Kymulga Grist Mill, Covered Bridge and Park is a unique and special place in our community to visit. We invite you to come explore its natural beauty, learn about its history and enjoy some of the activities at the Gristmill, ranging from canoeing to disc golf!

Majestic FAQs

Is parking free?

Yes, all parking is free.

Does the park have an entrance fee?

We have transitioned to an All-Inclusive Gate which creates a better overall quest experience and has many safety benefits. As locations across the US are limiting capacity in response to the COVID pandemic, it is difficult to measure a specific capacity where there is no gate. The gate will allow our team to ensure that the park is never past capacity. Also, our new gate will allow those who choose to purchase tickets at our park to do so in the open air outside of our Brochure Hut. By limiting the number of people indoors, we will be able to serve quests more fluidly and the Gift Shop can serve guests who would simply like to make food or retail purchases There is never any parking fee.

Can I have a family get-together at the cave?

Yes, please feel free to check our family reunion tab, and if your group has 20 or more contact us to make a reservation at a special group rate!

Is photography or video allowed inside the cave?

Yes, we encourage the use of photography and video in the cave!

Is Majestic Caverns open for the holidays?

We are open all holidays except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day.

Are pets allowed at Majestic Caverns?

Yes, pets are allowed in the park as long as they remain on a leash. Inside the cave we only allow pets if you are capable of holding them throughout the tour. People who bring their pets are responsible for cleaning up their pet’s waste. People with pets also will be held responsible for any damage their pet creates. Because of the indoor-outdoors nature of a cave, we cannot have any animals using the restroom inside the caverns, so they must be small enough to be held through the entirety of the tour.

Is there food on the premises?

Yes, we are proud to serve a variety of delicious and hormone free foods at our Cave Cafe in the gift shop. Be sure to try our award winning home-made fudge!

Is Majestic Caverns a state or national park?

No, we are a privately owned park that has stayed in the same family for over 100 years.

Are strollers or baby back-packs allowed inside the cave?

Yes, they are. Our cave has a tunnel, making it accessible for you and your young ones.

Is Majestic Caverns handicap accessible?

We are handicap accessible throught the Healing All Cathedral Room, which is the first room within our caverns and is accessible through a ramp. There is a passageway that narrows as our guests go towards our back room that would require someone to be able to walk through the back area while their wheelchair is folded in order to navigate through that narrow passageway. If the handicap guest is capable of walking a short distance that is supplied with a railing while the wheelchair is folded and brought through, our handicap guests will be able to see the entirety of the tour. If our guest is not capable of entering in the back of the cave, we have discount tours that still allow the guest to enjoy the Healing All Cathedral room within the caverns. Due to the natural environment of the cave, some areas had to be steeply ramped and will require an additional helper to navigate. Warning: For cave visitors in a wheelchair, it is required that you bring a capable assistant to help you with navigating the steep portions of the cave.

What should I wear inside Majestic Caverns?

The temperature inside the cave is 60°F year-round. In the summer, it will be refreshingly cool, and in the winter it will be a comfortable warmer temperature. Because the entrance to our cave is a steep ramped tunnel we recommend wearing shoes with traction on the bottom, although there is a handrail for steadying yourself if your shoes are smooth on bottom.

Does it rain inside the cave?

It does not rain inside the cave. Although, because this cave is still growing you may experience getting dripped on occasionally. We like to call these occasional drips “cave kisses.”

Is there camping nearby?

Yes, we have a campground on the property.
